As an Electrical Design Engineer based in Raleigh NC youll be part of a collaborative engineering community solving complex challenges for critical power infrastructure. How Youll Make an Impact

  • Develop and maintain electrical design specifications and models aligned with industry standards.
  • Perform design reviews verifications and targeted updates to improve quality and performance.
  • Manage design tasks to meet milestones timelines and project commitments.
  • Assess technical risks and drive mitigation strategies and design innovation.
  • Partner with customers to integrate requirements and feedback into design solutions.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to support efficient manufacturable and cost-aware designs.
  • Prepare and maintain clear design documentation to support execution and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on testing data and best practices.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in transformer electrical design.
  • Working knowledge of power industry standards such as IEEE ANSI NEMA UL CSA and NEC.
  • Understanding of transformer design parameters and design-to-cost principles.
  • Ability to work independently delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
