Schedule:MondayThursday.6 hours/ start time between3:00 PM and Midnight
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Part-Time Wood Shop Assembler:- Compares identifying information and counts weighs or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders or other records.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
- Insert items into containers.
- Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.
- Stamps stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
- Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains the inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Studies shipping notices bills of lading invoices orders and other records to determine shipping priorities work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.
- Inspect shipping activities to ensure accuracy completeness and condition of shipments.
- Counts weighs measures or examines packaging and contents for conformance to company specifications.
- Compares items packed with customers orders and other identifying data.
Education & Experience Requirements of the Part-Time Wood Shop Assembler- Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers
- Insert items into containers with care and accuracy
- Nail covers onto wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
