Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant - Gyn Oncology Department- Vassar Brothers Medical Center & Kingston Clinic (75 minutes north of New York City)
Vassar Brothers Medical Centerlocatedin Poughkeepsie NY just 75 minutes north of New York City is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to coordinate oversee and provide advanced nursing care to gynecologic oncology patients. This position works collaboratively with gynecologic medical and radiation oncologists gynecologic residents supportive careteamand nursing staff. This position will also see patients in our Kingston NY outpatient clinic.
The Nurse Practitioner willbe responsible forcarrying out the plan of care for his/her patient panel will contribute to the actualization of the philosophy andobjectivesof the Oncology Division and willparticipatein performance improvement and research activities.
At leastone yearclinical experiencerelativeto surgical oncology or other relevant experience is preferred.OncologyNursing Certificate is desirable.
Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides ourseven hospitalsystem and multi-specialty practice with tertiary oncology services and is accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. Vassar already has many of the key elements of a comprehensive oncology service line in place including a Radiation Oncology team and Surgical Oncology Services in Breast Thoracic GI Gynecology Oncology and Urology. Our goal is to evolve from a comprehensive local program to a regional destination cancer program. Vassar has recently opened a new 696000 square-foot seven-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms.
