The Process Steward reporting to the Global Division Finance Steward is a pivotal role in leading and executing transformation initiatives advancing the Accounting (ATR) change agenda and roadmap and will be a key contributor to the overall success of the S4/Magellan requirement gathering process for the US go-live. They will primarily be focused on ATR areas of Finished Goods Inventory Warranty and other general accounting topics helping to drive standardization of global accounting practices within these areas with an initial lens of transitioning processes into the S4 HANA system for the US launch. The Process Steward will help to map current state division-impacting finished good inventory and warranty process flows and will ultimately propose standardization solutions with an appreciation for the unique commercial and/or product arrangements across Division portfolios as well as target systematically enhanced processes using new S4 HANA and S4-adjacent technology.
This role will drive both process improvement initiatives by utilizing the global process framework benchmarking BSC processes against industry standards and engaging in transformational programs for the end-to-end ATR process as well as work with the business stakeholders to derive system requirements and possible enhancements for the US S4/Magellan go-live. Process Stewards are adept collaborators exceptional communicators and change agents bringing extensive and diverse accounting experience and knowledge along with strong stakeholder relationship management skills. This role will approach the task with a lens towards GAAP compliance strong internal control and process efficiency.
Bachelors degree required
6 years progressive accounting experience with focus on deep experience across many different areas within inventory accounting
Technical skills: Business process improvement methodology and ERP experience (SAP preferred)
Functional knowledge: Demonstrated application of accounting principles local regulations (where required and ability to ask the right questions) and financial analysis in the ATR/Accounting processes
Significant knowledge & experience with US GAAP internal controls and SOX 404 environment and how they impact end-to-end process financial statements and financial statement assertions
Strong financial acumen: Proficient in developing business cases for process improvement initiatives
Strong leadership executive presence and influencing skills: Ability to motivate and impact teams (including teams that are not direct reports) working under tight timelines/budgets; ability to influence executive-level stakeholders
Possesses strong and effective communication skills and the ability to exert influence through collaboration and respect even without formal authority
Problem-solving skills: Superior problem-solving skills ability to influence all levels flexible communication and consulting/collaboration skills strong teaming and interpersonal abilities; ability to diagnose process technology strategy or people issues and implement effective solutions
CPA CMA MBA or equivalent credential
Global experience: Demonstrated self-awareness of communication styles and cultural differences
Consultative style: Ability to formulate and articulate a perspective and present it in a way that fosters understanding and alignment on both strategic and tactical issues
Language: Fluent in English required; additional languages considered an asset
Travel: Occasional limited travel to other BSC sites may be required

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly) non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
