Semester: Spring 2026
Position Summary & Purpose:Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and applying problem-solving techniques to eliminate waste from business processes. Work closely with department leaders to streamline processes and improve quality while gaining exposure to ERP systems process mapping and Lean manufacturing principles.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in business process improvement projects across multiple departments
- Support efforts to automate routine workflows within the ERP and other digital workspace systems
- Collaborate with department leads to develop value stream maps and identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency gains
- Contribute to quality improvement projects for processes and finished products
- Research and pilot opportunities to leverage AI and other digital tools to improve daily workflows
- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of process changes and report findings to leadership
- Audit existing documentation for accuracy completeness and consistency
Qualifications:
- Working toward a Bachelors degree in one of the following fields: Industrial Engineering;Manufacturing Engineering Technology;Operations Management; or Business Administration/Analytics
- Strong ability and willingness to learn
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn new software quickly
