Overview:
The DevOps / Technical Lead will oversee technical architecture CI/CD automation API integration and infrastructure operations across AWS and MuleSoft environments. This individual ensures high availability scalability and secure deployments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead DevOps pipelines version control and automated testing/integration.
- Architect and maintain infrastructure in AWS and CMS VDCs.
- Manage MuleSoft runtime Anypoint platform and Kafka integration.
- Oversee Splunk and New Relic monitoring alerting and performance tuning.
- Ensure CI/CD and release management follow CMS lifecycle standards.
- Guide developers on API standards (REST JSON OpenAPI Spec).
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform CloudFormation) and automation best practices.
Required Experience:
- 8 years in DevOps or technical leadership roles.
- Hands-on expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint AWS services (EC2 S3 Lambda ECS).
- Experience with Kafka GitLab/GitHub CI/CD Jenkins or similar tools.
- Familiarity with CMS TRA ARS 5.1 and federal security controls.
- Strong scripting skills (Python Bash PowerShell).
Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer (required).
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect or Developer (preferred).
- Kubernetes (CKA) or Terraform Associate (optional plus).
Location: Work will be primarily onsite in Washington DC or other designated sites. Remote work requires prior client approval. Local and occasional out-of-area travel may be required.
