CGI is seeking a highly skilled and client-focused PreSales Specialist to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CGI Advantage Budgeting a robust public sector budgeting solution that supports strategic financial planning performance-based budgeting and operational efficiency for government agencies. This role is ideal for professionals who combine deep product knowledge with strong communication and solutioning skills. You will be instrumental in driving client engagement and adoption by leading budgeting-focused demonstrations crafting tailored solutions responding to RFPs/RFIs and supporting early-stage delivery planning. Your expertise will help clients modernize their budgeting processes improve transparency and align financial planning with policy goals.

Location: Fairfax VA Dallas/Belton TX Denver CO Knoxville TN Lafayette LA Henderson NV. Hybrid role (23 days/week onsite at one of the following CGI office locations).

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Budgeting Solution Evangelism & Demonstrations
Lead client-facing presentations and workshops focused on CGI Advantage Budgeting capabilities.
Develop and deliver tailored demos that showcase how the platform supports key budgeting functions such as:
Operating and capital budgeting
Performance-based budgeting
Forecasting and scenario planning
Budget formulation and execution
2. Presales & Proposal Support
Serve as the technical lead in responding to RFPs/RFIs ensuring proposals align with client budgeting requirements and CGI Advantage capabilities.
Collaborate with sales and proposal teams to develop compelling solution narratives pricing strategies and implementation approaches.
Participate in bid defense meetings and client Q&A sessions to articulate solution value.
3. Budgeting Solution Design & Integration Planning
Work with clients to understand their current budgeting processes pain points and modernization goals.
Design solution architectures that leverage CGI Advantage Budgeting features and integrate with ERP HR and financial systems.
Support API-based integration planning and ensure alignment with cloud-native environments (Azure preferred).
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory
Build trusted relationships with finance budget and IT stakeholders across state and local government agencies.
Facilitate discovery sessions to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solution designs.
Act as a liaison between clients and internal product/delivery teams to ensure feedback informs product enhancements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Proven experience in presales solution engineering or consulting within SaaS platforms or ERP extensions.
Strong understanding of public sector budgeting processes including budget formulation execution and reporting.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
Demonstrated success in preparing RFP/RFI responses and solution proposals.
Experience of public sector government processes (Finance HR and Budgeting) is a plus.
Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI especially for budget performance tracking and visualization.
Ability to quickly learn and configure demo environments tailored to budgeting scenarios.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-first mindset.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $51400.00 - $113100.00.
