Description

We are currently seeking a Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency this role you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in need of urgent attention. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals in emergency situations. As a Locum MD or DO you will be involved in a variety of fast-paced and challenging medical cases making quick decisions to save lives and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with acute medical conditions in the emergency department.
  • Perform medical procedures such as intubation suturing and wound care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients treated.
  • Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for emergency medical care.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and training programs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients families and staff members in a compassionate manner.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a physician.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Schedule: 7a-7p 7p-7a or 24-hour shifts

Annual Volume: 3k patients

Daily Volume: 8 patients

EMR: Medhost

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
