Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Janitor to join Stacs School a leading primary/secondary education institution located in Monterey Park. As a Janitor you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities creating a safe and welcoming environment for students staff and visitors. This position is vital to the overall operations of the school and contributes to the well-being and productivity of everyone on campus. The projects you will be involved in include daily cleaning tasks waste management and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping mopping dusting and vacuuming.
- Empty and sanitize trash receptacles.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and activities.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support overall school operations.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Reliability and punctuality in attendance.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
