As a Project Controls Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing project control systems and processes across signaling and rail infrastructure projects. This role ensures effective planning cost control contract management risk management and reporting to support successful project delivery within budget schedule and quality standards. Key Activities - Manage integrated master schedules using tools like Primavera P6.
- Conduct time impact analyses (TIAs) float path reviews and schedule risk assessments.
- Align schedules across contracts disciplines and stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain cost control frameworks including budgets forecasts and earned value analysis (EVA).
- Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate cost reporting in collaboration with commercial teams.
- Manage change orders and budget adjustments.
- Maintain and update project risk and opportunity registers.
- Lead risk workshops and support mitigation planning.
- Assign risk owners and ensure active management of risks and opportunities.
- Generate and maintain project dashboards and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with client and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. FTA federal funding).
- Implement document control systems and manage sensitive project data.
- Interface with internal departments clients consultants and funding agencies.
- Provide executive-level briefings and performance summaries.
- Foster open and honest communication across all project parties.
- Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Cascade client priorities and project goals throughout the team.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Project Management or related field.
- 15 years of progressive experience in project controls with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in signaling or rail infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in project control software (Primavera P6 Oracle Unifier Power BI etc.).
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) cost estimating and federal reporting standards.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
