Sr. Mechanical Engineer

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

• Seasoned engineer with advanced expertise in designing integrating and testing complex truck and van mounted equipment
• Design truck bodies and/or truck and van accessories from various materials.
• Create detailed drawings for manufacturing.
• Create simplified drawings for customer review and approval.
• Create electrical hydraulic and pneumatic schematics as required.
• Resolve design assembly and manufacturing problems in a timely manner.
• Develop publish and maintain operating manuals for our products.
• Develop publish and maintain assembly instructions to support the Operations team.
• Communicate effectively with sales manufacturing suppliers and customers.
• Support field network of shops by providing troubleshooting information.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and/or Training:

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Solidworks or other 3D CAD package
• Proficient in other desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Word Excel and Power Point)
• Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis is strongly preferred.

Relevant Work Experience:

• 5 years relevant experience in a design related Engineering role.
• Previous experience with welding sheet metal forming mobile hydraulic and 12 volt DC electrical circuits is preferred.
• Previous AutoCad experience is preferred.
• Experience with Solidworks Enterprise Product Data Management is preferred.

Total Compensation is $9000 -$100000
