Job Description
Our retail store provides the fuel the face and the gateway to all the awesome services we provide for individuals families and organizations in the communities we serve. But what does that mean for you as a team member It means that you are connected to something bigger than yourself something that helps shape the community you live with the most basic need of ability to have a productive livelihood. As a Driver you will operate a 1 ½ ton truck. The Driver is responsible for providing a welcome greeting for all donors. DMV and company guidelines must always be observed. Time management is crucial for arriving at the destination and returning on schedule. The Driver exhibits customer commitment and personal effectiveness and plays a key role in our mission.

The Albanyretail store located at 2015 N Slappey Blvd is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Driver.
Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers Inc.s Driver responsibilities:
- Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.
- Report any mechanical problems delays accidents and other traffic and transportation situations to the leadership team.
- Loads and unloads trucks vehicles containers and trailers by hand or using a hand truck lift gate and pallet jack during pick-up and drop-offs.
- Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks before during and after operations and adheres to all safety regulations.
- Cleans the inside and outside of the assigned vehicle daily as needed.
- Reports concern to the leadership team immediately.
- Pads stacks and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit.
- Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
You will be hired as a driver; however you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of retail operations.
A part-time position averages 20-25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e. seasonal changes donation volumes etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on the store location. The Driver must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prior experience in a retail environment may be considered instead of education.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report
- Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
- Prior forklift experience is preferred.
- Warehouse experience is preferred.
