Who we are:
AtThrive Pet Healthcare Urgent Care - Turnersville we provide excellent care in our state-of-the-art urgent care facility. We care for cats and dogs in the Turnersville Williamstown Pennsville Township areas. We offer outpatient same-day services that provide extended-hour treatment for sick pets who require prompt access to a veterinarian.

Thrive Turnersville is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. As a veterinary assistant youll play an important role in pets lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and restraining patients to support services including admitting and discharging patients and client service tasks.
Role Responsibilities:
Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality veterinary care advocate for pets and educate clients.
With each hospital function assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options medications and additional treatments.
Assist in maintaining relevant comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
Assist in Client Service Representative tasks when needed (cross-training provided)
Use safe restraining techniques follow standard protocols and sustain clean sterile organized treatment areas exam rooms and labs.
Be willing to clean and stock rooms treatment area surgery suites and lobby to ensure a clean welcoming environment
Experience & Skills Requirements:
Basic animal husbandry knowledge (canine/feline) required
Must be comfortable handling canine and feline patients
Approved Veterinary Assistants encouraged to apply formal certification not required
Must be willing to cross-train to support the front desk as needed
Ideal candidate is able to work autonomously with a positive attitude
Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $16-$18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills qualifications experience and location.
