Purpose Statement: An EHS intern provides support for the organization and will work closely with various EHS leaders or other professionals to gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting. EHS interns may be asked to perform a wide range of tasks from researching EHS regulatory requirements (both globally and domestic) assessing emerging trends or revising / creating documents to support the EHS-MS or as otherwise required.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Assists with the implementation of the site initiatives and programs to ensure adherence to the EHS-MS local regulations and internal and external customers needs.
- Conducts research on emerging EHS topics that align with the EHS-MS or provide continuous improvement to existing EHS policies / practices.
- Deliver concise and clear responses to any inquiries or issues maintain a natural personable demeanor during all interactions ensure a balanced approach to all tasks and responsibilities and uphold consistency in work performance and response times.
- Currently enrolled in an applicable secondary education program in related field is required.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with operating a computer calculator and other general office equipment.
- Use professional and clear verbal communication skills.
- High quality writing skills using accurate word usage grammar spelling and punctuation in all written correspondence.
Other Qualifications:
- Regular timely attendance during assigned work hours.
- Occasional lifting and transporting up to 25 lbs.
