The opportunity
The GPG SCM Digital solutions category anager PGSV will deliver the BU PGSV strategies at the global level on behalf of the Service Business Unit. This role will directly report to Global BU GPG SCM Manager PGSV. This role will collaborate closely with the GPG SCM teams of PGTR PGGI and PGHV BUs besides LSUs in major geographies across Hitachi Energy. The GPG SCM Digital solutions category Manager will be responsible for the coordination of the Sourcing negotiating contracting and establishment of Digital service partners globally to ensure a one Hitachi Energy Service approach to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Digital components used in our core solutions and offers. especially Transformers High Voltage Equipment and Grid Automation products and systems ideally within the Electrical installations/Energy sector. Knowledge of Hitachi Energy products is an added advantage.
How youll make an impact
Develop long term strategy source and negotiate with suppliers to support the BU PGSV Service operations and digital solutions offer.
These include vendors who support components manufacturing for installation retrofit testing and commissioning of all major Hitachi Energy products and services.
Setting up of all Inter Hitachi Energy company Agreements for contracting Services or purchase of spare parts affecting digital offer.
This role helps seamless extension of all major Digital vendor Agreements of BUs (PGSV PGTR PGHV and PGGI) to BU PGSV through Novations renegotiations or extensions.
Adopt plan and implement global service SCM strategy based on the Service GPG Digital strategies and targets related to the entire service portfolio (lifecycle management service products and solutions and IB penetration). Lead the SCM teams and collaborate in delivery and exceeding targets in terms of orders GM% response time and customer satisfaction for the full-Service portfolio. Responsible for accurate costing support to Service Sales.
Support Service Sales through participation in negotiations of major contracts to secure service orders volume.
This Supply Chain Management (SCM) role at Hitachi Energy focuses on developing and implementing PGSV strategies to optimize costs quality delivery and reliability of suppliers and products.
The position involves negotiating contracts managing supplier agreements and ensuring compliance with company guidelines while contributing to a sustainable sourcing strategy.
Develop plan and implement Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy focused on optimizing costs quality delivery and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories.
Ensure execution in accordance with Company SCM and Supply Base Management instructions and procedures.
Supports for the assigned spend a short and medium-term complaint resilient and sustainable sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership and supply performance.
Negotiate contracts and service level agreements in line with factory expectations in order to deliver price lead time and Terms & Conditions information and control its usage in the local ERP systems.
Define and Initiate projects to cut total cost of ownership and/or to mitigate risks.
Minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines.
Contracts: Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval. Provides ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers.
Supplier agreements: Ensures identification investigation and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality delivery cost and sustainability) in accordance with Company policies. Defines and establishes local standard agreements with all major suppliers. Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
Applies and implements SCM standards tools and processes focused on business continuity for the assigned commodity or group of commodities/categories.
Budget and performance targets: Contributes to and participates in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensures the Category sourcing performance targets are achieved.

Your background
Bachelors degree in a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
Significant and demonstratable experience in SCM & Operations preferably within Hitachi Energy.
Strong Collaborative skills.
Proven understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products
Experience working within the Energy sector
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
