Job Summary:

The University of Colorado Denver is seeking a qualifiedPlumberto join its Facilities Management team. This position operates under the general supervision of the Trades Shop Supervisor and is responsible for performing skilled plumbing work across campus facilities. The role includes the maintenance repair installation and modification of plumbing systems such as water lines sewer systems water heaters softeners and restroom fixtures.


Facilities Management at CU Denver is dedicated to providing exceptional service to students faculty staff and visitors. Team members are expected to demonstrate professionalism integrity and respect in all interactions serving as role models in upholding the universitys standards for customer service and workplace conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install maintain and repair plumbing systems and components in university buildings

  • Diagnose and resolving plumbing issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Modify and upgrade existing plumbing infrastructure to meet operational needs

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes safety regulations and university standards

  • Collaborate with other trades and departments to support campus-wide maintenance and operations

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed materials used and service records

Work Location:

Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Denver Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Substitution: Successful completion of a formalized plumbing apprenticeship program or higher level non-correspondence coursework in the same fields from an accredited vocational school or university may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
