Position Title: Direct Support Professional Part Time 2nd shift 2:45pm-10:45pm

Compensation: $17.50/hour

Shift Details:

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing bathing toileting and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care house cleaning and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Follow all established behavior programs data collection and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans recording data and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Attend staff development classes as scheduled and successfully complete test required competency testing (MANDT CPR First Aid Safe Van Driving Promotion of Consumer Well Being Cultural Competency and Medication Administration).
• Ensures that work area and company vehicles is clean safe secure and well maintained.
• Ensures all required documentation is completed as listed in facility communication book and or any software system.
• Reports any violations of client right to supervisory staff immediately.
• Reports any on the job injury to supervisory staff immediately.
• Arrives to work on time and leaves the work site at the end of the shift or when the next shift arrives.
• Reports to work on all scheduled days unless absence has been approved by supervisor.
• Interacts with clients in a positive manner and in accordance with Clients Rights Policies.
• Interacts with parents guardians and other visitors in a positive manner.
• Works as a team player and interacts in a positive manner with coworkers.
• Adheres to established LIFE Inc. dress code as it relates to clothing shoes jewelry and nail length.
• Assist with training and production with LIFEs SpecialTees as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
• NC Drivers License
• 21 years of age or older
• No experience required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others be self-motivated.
• Display strong oral and written communication skills.
• Possess problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and be reached by phone
• Physical Strength: Able to lift or move up to 40 lbs or more.
• Ability to perform MANDT CPR and First Aid techniques.
• Daily contact with body fluids cleaning agents and general household equipment.
