General Job Description
To help manage our growing backlog of new orders we are creating this new position to support Verdins manufacturing and field service operations. This role will be focused primarily on maintaining a smooth and efficient production flow by creating managing and distributing accurate work orders to manufacturing personnel. This position will also support our national network of field service technicians by fulfilling part orders and maintaining truck stock inventory.

Specific Job Functions
  • Create and issue work orders for new projects based on production schedules and promise dates.
  • Ensure that work orders are comprehensive and consistent with materials and inventory specified by drawings.
  • Work closely with Director of Purchasing and Inventory Control to ensure materials and resources are available for scheduled jobs.
  • Review pending projects on factory floor to make sure that manufacturing activity adheres to work order requirements.
  • Monitor work orders on regular basis and update ERP system to capture materials to reflect current inventory levels
  • Support continuous improvement in manufacturing by identifying and streamlining inefficiencies in work order process.
  • Work with liaison between shop floor personnel and drafting/production management teams to answer questions arising during fabrication process.
  • Process and fulfill basic parts orders from current inventory.
  • Track and replenish truck stock inventory for field service technicians.
  • Audit jobs in process on factory floor for quality control and to ensure that fabrication is consistent with drawings/work orders.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in business manufacturing or related field is a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing or production coordination role.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Verdin uses Global Shop) and Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel).
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Positive communication and interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $60000 - $70000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Annual bonus up to (2) weeks base pay
  • Full medical dental and vision coverage with generous cost sharing by Verdin and annual cash contribution to employee HSA account
  • 401(k) with match
  • 2 weeks PTO plus 8 paid holidays including minimum 4-day weekends at Thanksgiving and Christmas
  • Reduced summer hours with full pay from Memorial Day to Labor Day
  • Predictable stable work hours
