Visionist has an exciting new fully FUNDED opportunity for a Systems Engineer with a focus on Cisco Network Automation on our largest PRIME contract. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base. This premier program encompasses traditional software services including Systems Design and Engineering Database Administration Data Science and Knowledge Management Enterprise Risk Management Integration and Test as well as Operations and Systems Support. Your contributions are
- Design and maintain automated solutions for specific environments
- Build automation workflows and policies for provisioning configuration and security enforcement
- Troubleshoot optimize and enhance automated processes for scalability and resiliency
- Provide increased visibility into underlying systems and rules for system administrators; programmatically alert the team to items that require immediate attention
- Utilize metrics to assess network health and identify and resolve issues
- Emphasize customer communication and gather feedback on project status and results

Requirements for your new career
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
- 12 years of experience in Systems Engineering
- Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies including enterprise routing/switching
- Expertise in enterprise network protocols and software-defined networking (SDN)
- Proficiency in network automation and scripting
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Experience automating manual processes
- Competency in a Linux environment

Salary range: $165000 - $240000
