Job Summary

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: Rotating 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Schedule: 36 hours per week Every other weekend Every other holiday
Pay Rate: $2001 per week

Job Summary:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Respiratory Therapistfor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.

Responsibilities:

Assess and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
Initiate monitor and adjust ventilatory support; implement lung-protective strategies.
Perform diagnostic procedures including ABGs sputum collection bedside spirometry and capnography.
Provide respiratory support during patient transport and facility transfers.
Respond to Codes and Rapid Response Team (RRT) activations; assist with intubations and conscious sedation.
Administer therapeutic gases aerosolized medications and manage non-invasive ventilation.
Assist with bronchoscopies and support airway management across units.
Maintain artificial airways suctioning and tracheostomy care.
Deliver airway clearance therapies (PEP CPT etc.).
Participate in rounds document care accurately and support charge reconciliation.
Precept and mentor new staff and students.
Maintain equipment and stay current through continuing education.
Provide excellent service to patients families and colleagues.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 1 year of critical care experience preferred.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy license.
Current BLS certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Education:

Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program required.
