Job Description

Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH)

The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant Under the direction supervision and responsibility of a physician and in accordance with established policies evaluates patients health status through diagnostic procedures and tests. Provides support to surgical team through first and second assist. Provides therapeutic patient care in the outpatient and clinic areas Pediatric Cardiac OR and procedural areas Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Progressive and Acute Care Units under direction of a physician and in accordance with established protocols.

  • Schedule: Full Time (40 hours)
  • Weekend and On Call are required
  • Education: Successful completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program.
  • Licensure: - Registered/certified by the Maryland Board of Quality Assurance. Board certified (or certification-eligible for new graduates) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Current CPR certification required. - If you order or refer items or services for Medicare beneficiaries and you do not have an enrollment record in the Provider Enrollment Chain and Ownership System (PECOS) you will need to submit an enrollment application to Medicare to be eligible for employment.

Salary Range: Minimum 55.81/hour - Maximum 86.51/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
