Job Description
Join the Horizon House team that values caring compassion creativity and community. Help us bring joy and connection to every residents day an On-Call Life Enrichment Associate. Horizon House is actively seeking a Life Enrichment Associate to help plan and deliver meaningful activities that support the physical mental and social well-being of our residents
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a compassionate caring attitude be an organized individual with experience engaging older adultsespecially those with dementiain meaningful activities. They will demonstrate strong communication skills basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and be comfortable working flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Experience in event coordination or volunteer coordination in long-term care is a plus.
What Youll Do:
- Assist in organizing and leading daily weekly and monthly activities and events.
- Provide personalized one-on-one and small group engagement.
- Support logistics for activities including setup and transportation.
- Facilitate video calls and visits between residents and families.
- Observe and report any resident needs and changes.
- Maintain accurate participation records and assist with documentation.
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience working with older adults; with experience in dementia care highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- WA State Food Worker Card (within 14 days of hire).
- WA DSHS Dementia & Mental Health Specialty Training (within 90 days of hire).
- Basic Office 365 skills (Word Outlook Excel etc.).
Bonus Skills:
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Event planning or volunteer coordination experience
