Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant maintains financial records prepares reports and analyzes data to support accurate accounting and strategic decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies while assisting with audits budgeting and financial reporting.

The Position: Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in accounting required; Masters degree or CPA preferred
35 years of relevant accounting experience
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
Proficient in spreadsheets and accounting software (Sage and ADP preferred)
Strong analytical communication and reporting skills

Responsibilities:

Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
Prepare and record asset liability revenue and expense entries
Maintain and reconcile accounts; resolve discrepancies
Perform monthly and quarterly closings and reporting
Prepare income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements
Support budgeting process and design ad hoc management reports
Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
Verify Medicare and Medicaid eligibility and reconcile related accounts
Process participant refunds and handle vendor payment issues
Monitor accounts receivable and reconcile balance sheet items
Perform other duties as assigned
