Job Description
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant maintains financial records prepares reports and analyzes data to support accurate accounting and strategic decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies while assisting with audits budgeting and financial reporting.
The Position: Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting required; Masters degree or CPA preferred
- 35 years of relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Proficient in spreadsheets and accounting software (Sage and ADP preferred)
- Strong analytical communication and reporting skills
Responsibilities:
- Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
- Prepare and record asset liability revenue and expense entries
- Maintain and reconcile accounts; resolve discrepancies
- Perform monthly and quarterly closings and reporting
- Prepare income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Support budgeting process and design ad hoc management reports
- Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
- Verify Medicare and Medicaid eligibility and reconcile related accounts
- Process participant refunds and handle vendor payment issues
- Monitor accounts receivable and reconcile balance sheet items
- Perform other duties as assigned
