The Role
Join ABCs Audio On Demand team to work on The Case Of one of the ABCs most popular shows. We are looking for a Supervising Producer with a strongunderstanding of editorial and legal policies relating to court reporting and an ability to take a gripping story and bring it to life for an audio audience. This role will be part of a small Melbourne-based team andcombine production planning with all stages of researching writing producing and editing episodes.
The Job
- Coordinateand produce podcast episode to publishing deadlines
- Research investigate prepare compile and produce new podcast and digital at a senior level with a high level of independence.
- Mentor creative contributors providing editorial and production guidance.
Position Description: SUPERVISING
About You
You will bring a creative approach to content making including highly advanced script writing and editing skills.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Ability to coordinate plan and execute production requirements for a podcast publishing multiple episodes a week.
- Advanced understanding of online audiences international podcast distribution trends and social media strategies.
- Experience working in a newsroom preferably on courts or crime rounds and evidence of an understanding of the legal requirements when covering criminal trials.
- Evidence of substantial editorial judgement with a thorough understanding of the ABC Editorial Policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead a small team.
