Job Summary
Senior DeltaV Batch Engineer
Our client is hiring a Senior DeltaV Batch Engineer to lead and support the design implementation and commissioning of advanced automation solutions within capital projects. This role plays a key technical leadership position in configuring and supporting process automation systems using Emerson DeltaV technologies. The engineer will contribute across the project lifecycle-from scope definition to FAT SAT and plant start-up. Responsibilities include:
- Lead automation design and implementation for DeltaV DCS in capital projects
- Develop and configure batch and continuous process control strategies
- Write design documentation and provide configuration estimates
- Conduct and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Troubleshoot system hardware/software networks and instrument buses
- Mentor junior engineers and support peer technical development
- Manage project scope and timelines; communicate deviations proactively
- Collaborate with customers on-site and support commissioning/start-up
- Contribute to internal procedures standards and best practices
- Generate custom reports for operational performance and maintenance needs
- Assist in proposal development and client presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Electrical Mechanical Computer Engineering or related required
- 7 years of hands on experience with Emerson DeltaV batch control systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC/network troubleshooting
- Previous work in pharmaceutical biotech or chemical industries preferred
