Whatsthe job

The Head of Cloud and Infrastructureleadsthe delivery of securereliableand scalable cloud and on-premises platforms that support how our organisation teaches learnsresearchesandoperates. This role sets direction whileremaininghands-on where it matters ensuring core infrastructure services are stableresilientand aligned to enterprise technology strategy.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and technology partners you will lead a team of cloud and infrastructure engineers and play a key role in shaping platforms that enable the organisation today and into the future.

Principalaccountabilitiesare (but not limited to):

As the Head of Cloud and Infrastructure you will:

  • Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy and Operations:Lead the strategy and delivery of secure scalable hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure defining the roadmap for cloud adoptionmodernisationperformanceand costoptimisationin alignment with enterprise standards.

  • Platforms Networks & Systems:Oversee cloud platforms enterprise networkscommunicationsand core server environments to ensure reliability security lifecyclemanagementand effective monitoring across all infrastructure services.

  • Resilience Security & Compliance:Ensure infrastructure resilience through effective disaster recovery and business continuity planning whilemaintainingstrong securitygovernanceand compliance with regulatory and audit requirements including SOX.

  • Leadership & Capability: Lead and develop a high-performing infrastructure team driving accountability workforce planning capability development and a culture of continuous improvement and positive leadership.

Whoyou are:

You are an experienced technology leader with a proven record of delivering scalable and secure infrastructure solutions. You combine deep technicalexpertisewith strategic vision and hands-on problem-solving.

You have:

  • Leadership experience(4 years) managing cloud or infrastructure teams.

  • Technicalexpertise(8 years) across GCP AWS Azurevirtualisation networking server administration and automation.

  • Proven successimplementing hybrid infrastructure at scale managing vendors and ensuring audit readiness (including SOX compliance).

  • Strong communication collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • ABachelorsdegree in IT/Computer Science (required) and certifications in cloud or IT infrastructure technologies (desirable).
