Whatsthe job

The Head of Cloud and Infrastructureleadsthe delivery of securereliableand scalable cloud and on-premises platforms that support how our organisation teaches learnsresearchesandoperates. This role sets direction whileremaininghands-on where it matters ensuring core infrastructure services are stableresilientand aligned to enterprise technology strategy.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and technology partners you will lead a team of cloud and infrastructure engineers and play a key role in shaping platforms that enable the organisation today and into the future.

Principalaccountabilitiesare (but not limited to):

As the Head of Cloud and Infrastructure you will:

Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy and Operations:Lead the strategy and delivery of secure scalable hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure defining the roadmap for cloud adoptionmodernisationperformanceand costoptimisationin alignment with enterprise standards.
Platforms Networks & Systems:Oversee cloud platforms enterprise networkscommunicationsand core server environments to ensure reliability security lifecyclemanagementand effective monitoring across all infrastructure services.
Resilience Security & Compliance:Ensure infrastructure resilience through effective disaster recovery and business continuity planning whilemaintainingstrong securitygovernanceand compliance with regulatory and audit requirements including SOX.
Leadership & Capability: Lead and develop a high-performing infrastructure team driving accountability workforce planning capability development and a culture of continuous improvement and positive leadership.

Whoyou are:

You are an experienced technology leader with a proven record of delivering scalable and secure infrastructure solutions. You combine deep technicalexpertisewith strategic vision and hands-on problem-solving.

You have:

Leadership experience(4 years) managing cloud or infrastructure teams.
Technicalexpertise(8 years) across GCP AWS Azurevirtualisation networking server administration and automation.
Proven successimplementing hybrid infrastructure at scale managing vendors and ensuring audit readiness (including SOX compliance).
Strong communication collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
ABachelorsdegree in IT/Computer Science (required) and certifications in cloud or IT infrastructure technologies (desirable).
