Job Description

General responsibilities:

  • Identifying and reducing sources of variation
  • Reducing machine faults
  • Reducing defectivity
  • Defining and writing tool maintenance procedures
  • Improving tool availability and throughput and availability
  • Reducing Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)
  • Working with and training technicians and peers
  • Improving cost performance
  • Specifying sourcing and qualifying new equipment and parts
  • Participating and/or leading cross functional teams
  • Supporting development and transfer activities.
  • Implementing zero defect processes
  • Defining tool qualification procedures
  • Defining Out of Control Action Plans
  • Developing and writing specifications
  • Reducing cycle time
  • Qualifying process and equipment
  • Supporting development or transfer activities.
  • Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree or higher in engineering or science
  • 3 years of industry experience as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor Fab
  • Experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment
  • Experience in one of the following areas Cleans Wets Photo or Metrology tools Preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work
  • A desire to work in a team environment and to create a positive work environment
  • Ability to generate analyze and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring failures
  • Demonstrated presentation skills. Candidate will be called upon to train others and present complex datasets and process problems/ solutions to diverse audiences
  • Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and solve them
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with multiple disciplines in a 24x7 manufacturing facility
  • Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self
  • Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing methods is highly desirable
  • Experience collaborating and driving supplier improvements to develop robust hardware and processes
  • Familiar with production MES and engineering software systems such as JMP FDC (FabGuard) et. al.
  • Safety and Quality minded approach and work habit
  • Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident visa status due to Export Control licensing requirements
