General responsibilities:
- Identifying and reducing sources of variation
- Reducing machine faults
- Reducing defectivity
- Defining and writing tool maintenance procedures
- Improving tool availability and throughput and availability
- Reducing Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)
- Working with and training technicians and peers
- Improving cost performance
- Specifying sourcing and qualifying new equipment and parts
- Participating and/or leading cross functional teams
- Supporting development and transfer activities.
- Implementing zero defect processes
- Defining tool qualification procedures
- Defining Out of Control Action Plans
- Developing and writing specifications
- Reducing cycle time
- Qualifying process and equipment
- Supporting development or transfer activities.
- Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods
Qualifications:
- BS Degree or higher in engineering or science
- 3 years of industry experience as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor Fab
- Experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Experience in one of the following areas Cleans Wets Photo or Metrology tools Preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work
- A desire to work in a team environment and to create a positive work environment
- Ability to generate analyze and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring failures
- Demonstrated presentation skills. Candidate will be called upon to train others and present complex datasets and process problems/ solutions to diverse audiences
- Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and solve them
- Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with multiple disciplines in a 24x7 manufacturing facility
- Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking
- Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self
- Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing methods is highly desirable
- Experience collaborating and driving supplier improvements to develop robust hardware and processes
- Familiar with production MES and engineering software systems such as JMP FDC (FabGuard) et. al.
- Safety and Quality minded approach and work habit
- Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident visa status due to Export Control licensing requirements
