Health & Wellness EMT/Health Aide Role at Rainbow Acres
The Health & Wellness Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Health Aide assists nursing personnel in the provision of basic care for Residents (Ranchers) and necessary unit tasks and functions in compliance with the policies procedures and applicable health care standards and the AZ Department of Health. They provide outstanding patient care and support for Ranchers on a daily basis under the supervision of a nurse. This is more than a job its a mission to serve with compassion purpose and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides exceptional Rancher care has knowledge and delivers appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the Rancher as per their care or service plan.
- Obtains a wide range of information from physicians caregivers and nurses about Rancher conditions treatment plans and suggested activities
- Follows infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.
- Participates in case conferences with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
- Maintains confidentiality in relation to all Ranchers healthcare staff and documentation.
- Maintains a cooperate manner towards Rancher/family and all members of the healthcare team
Additional Information:
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a high level of responsibility and awareness.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED along with an EMT or Health Aide certification required.
- Prior clinical or EMT experience is preferred.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certified
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with Ranchers families & guardians medical providers and employees.
- Ability to meet all clearance requirements including:
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Background check
- Pre-employment physical
- Drug screening
- Reference check
- Verification of absence from the Arizona Adult Protective Services Registry
- Demonstrate strong ethical standards and moral character with sensitivity to the needs of our Residents/Ranchers.
- Evidence of a strong Christian commitment is desirable and aligns with the values of Rainbow Acres.

- Good organization and computer skills
- Strong communication documentation and customer service skills.
- Compassionate mature sympathetic and professional at all times
- Ability to navigate the terrain of the ranch safely and effectively.
