JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager Director and Vice President of Nursing the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner delivers specialty care with a high degree of expertise in perinatal and neonatal health by formulating a plan based on assessment examination and selected diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice. Provides leadership for the health care team by collaborating with physicians nursing case manager and multi-disciplinary team members to ensure high quality comprehensive care is delivered. Has a collaborative practice agreement with the Neonatologist.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a neonatologist to join our dynamic team to support the regions largest Level III NICU between Memphis and St. Louis.
Position Details:
Join a group of 3 board-certified fellowship-trained neonatologists and 5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
36 bed NICU. 306 bed Medical Center 18 LDPR rooms.
Our team supports a busy high-volume high-quality OB service of more than 1500 births annually.
NEC: 0% and ROP: 0%
Supported by the areas only full-time perinatology service and expert staff of nurses respiratory therapists and other specialists trained to detect and avert problems associated with high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
Schedule will be roughly 1 24-hour shift (0700 - 0700) per week (total of 4 shifts/month)
Education:
- Graduate of an approved Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program for Neonatal Nurses
Certification & Licensures:
- Credentialed and licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurse in the State of Missouri
- NRP Certification
- BLS Certification
Experience:
- Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in neonatal nursing
- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to read write and speak in fluent English
