Broussard Group is looking for a highly motivated Furniture Re-finisher Professional that will contribute and grow within our culture of Commercial Interiors.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This role is a full-time on-site position. We work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. Compensation will be based on experience with a starting hourly wage of $18.00/hour. This role provides opportunity for growth development and advancement while teaching relevant skills that you will carry for a lifetime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily communication flow with Operations Manager
• Familiar with and follow all safety protocols and procedures

• Ability to disassemble items to prepare them for finishing using hand tools.
• Perform proper sanding of solid and/or veneered wood furniture surfaces
• Staining of furniture surfaces with consistency. Brush spray or hand-rub finishing ingredients such as paint oil stain or wax onto and into wood grain; then apply lacquer or other sealers.
• Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems
• Maintain proper records of duties performed and transactions completed
• Provide the necessary records to the office for the completion of necessary invoices records and reports.

• Keep inventory of materials needed for refinishing furniture products
• Proficient in cleaning cabinet finishes in a workshop and onsite environment.

• Color matching skillset

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successfully pass a background check
• Successfully pass a drug test
• Some experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to professionally communicate with customers and team members
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Be able to work within budgeted project timelines
• Must take pride in delivering and performing quality workmanship
• Prolong periods working in Warehouse that does not have AC - only cooled by Fans
• Must be able to distinguish between color shade & brightness
• Must be able to stand for long periods repeat movements and use their hands to handle objects tools or controls
• Mustbe able to lift and carry items weighing 110lbs or less
• Must be able to stair-carry objects

• Artistic abilities/qualities (including but not limited to a sharp eye for color and good hand/eye-coordination)
• Detail oriented

• Basic knowledge of power and hand tools
• Must have a valid drivers license with minimum 2 years of driving experience
• Must be able to move up to 100 pounds with assistance by lifting carrying pushing and pulling
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Lifting squatting and crouching is required.
• For safety reasons respirators are used in certain situations must be able to seal to your face.
• Be exposed to various inside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
