Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Analyst to strengthen the Balance Sheet & Capital Management department within Group Treasury.

Group Treasury has the responsibility to ensure that INGs capital funding and liquidity positions are adequate at all times commensurate with INGs consolidated businesses and their plans both in a business as usual situation as well as in stressed situations. It is acting as INGs window to the market to hedge market risks to raise both long and short term debt instruments and to actively manage INGs high quality liquid asset buffer.

The Team

You will be working in the Capital Management team. Capital Management is tasked to optimize INGs capital and debt position in order to meet regulatory requirements while supporting business growth ensuring coupon payments and rewarding shareholders in line with INGs dividend policy. The department is the gatekeeper of all internal capital flows and acts in close cooperation with other departments within Group Treasury as the execution arm of the board on market transactions to secure the capital supply necessary for implementing all strategic initiatives.

Furthermore the department advises the Board on dividend policy capital allocation contingency planning cost of capital as well as many other strategic priorities.

Roles and responsibilities

  • You will be working in the Capital Management team where your role will be to maintain and develop INGs ICAAP framework and related governance from a central point of view. This will entail a sharp view on how locations adhere to these group wide standards where your active role in terms of providing functional guidance towards locations will be needed.

  • You will keep close track of upcoming regulations and consultations and advice stakeholders on how to interpret new regulation (B4 output floor NPE backstop).

  • You will assess INGs adequacy statement in terms of capitalisation from different lenses (such as Economic Capital or Stress Testing). You will lead the SREP (ICLAAP) submission process to ensure that the annual assessment conducted by the ECB reflects the continuous improvement work in the area of ICAAP.

  • You will facilitate the supervisory dialogue with the ECB as part of the ongoing interaction with the supervisors regulators as well as auditors.

We are looking for a team member with the following knowledge and experience:

  • Masters degree in finance or econometrics with above-average academic

  • 6-10 yrs of work experience in Treasury Risk Management or Finance

  • Strong stakeholder management skills (e.g. experience of running Projects)

  • Knowledge on database and some basic programming skills

  • Knowledge on ING systems (MASS Vortex) is required

  • IT-savvy and proficient in MS Office (especially MS Excel)

  • Knowledge of risk models would be a plus

  • Excellent / native level in written English

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Result driven; risk aware

  • Structured way of working

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and ideas both verbally and in writing

  • Excellent interpersonal skills multicultural awareness and sensitivity
