Job Description


Summary

Assists management in the planning coordination and assignment of work across staff. Trains new staff and assists staff with the proper processing methods. May screen code and key claims in claims system.


Description

Location:This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-4:30PM. It may be necessary given the business need to work occasional overtime. This role is located at 1000 Executive Center Drive Greenville SC 29616.

What Youll Do:

  • Assembles and distributes electronic and hard copy claims to support staff. May screen code and key claims to ensure proper and accurate adjudication of claims in accordance with departmental standards for quality and production contract regulations policies and guidelines.

  • Processes edits and resolves errors through claims editing software.

  • Collects sorts and delivers completed claims to the appropriate area.

  • Documents errors and other important information throughout claims processing.

  • Assists support staff with questions throughout processing.

To Qualify for This Position Youll Need the Following:

  • Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Required Work Experience:4 years of experience in a claims operations environment to include data entry experience.

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Organizational judgment and customer service skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

  • Flexibility to perform multiple functions strong judgment and attention to detail.

  • Proficient spelling punctuation and grammar.

  • Required Software and Tools:Microsoft Office. Ability to type a minimum of 5000 KSPH and proficient with numeric keypad.
