Description
Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Inventory Associate. The Inventory Associate is responsible for the verification accuracy processing and management of warehouse product inventory. Inventory data processing required while keeping inventory information correct and accurate.
- Documentation of product supplier/inventor counts and other relevant information
- Verify Inventory management information accuracy
- Ensure all working and common areas are kept clean and organized
- Learn and retain product knowledge and specifications
- Effectively work in cooperation with safety department staff and management on duties assigned
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
Force occasionally or up to 50 pounds of force frequently or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Regularly required to use hands and arms to finger handle feel reach and/or carry. This is a fast paced environment
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Punctuality/Reliability/Flexibility.
- Ability to read and write.
- Attention to detail.
- Desire to learn and adapt to changing situations and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge in warehouse operations and products helpful.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- HiLo machine experience a plus
- Electric Jack machine experience a plus
