Mission:
ANDS provides capabilities that directly support Active Network Defense (AND) Computer Network Defense (CND) and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM).
The project extends these same capabilities to the front-line security teams performing ISCM missions for their respective areas.
This service is intended to counter the threat of attempts to compromise the confidentiality integrity or availability of customer systems.
The goal is to ensure information security readiness as well as establishing and maintaining enterprise security tools for CND and information security continuous monitoring functions.
System Administrator II Description:
Provides support for implementation troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices mobile devices etc.
Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software troubleshoots maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements and updates to improve reliability security and performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Stand up and configure Windows servers.
Apply patches and upgrades.
Troubleshoot server issues.
Administer customer accounts
Deploy monitoring tools.
Deploy applications and tools.
Assist with escalated customer tickets.
Installation and cabling of equipment
Required Qualifications:
3 years Linux system administration experience.
Knowledge of physical and virtual servers. Experience researching and creating solutions to close IAVAs.
Ansible experience
Experience in building and maintaining VMware environments.
Security cert Preferred Qualifications:
AWS experience
Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
Docker experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Elasticsearch/Splunk
Syslog/NxLog
Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
10 years experience as a SA in programs of similar scope type and complexity
5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree
Approximate Salary Range: $84300 - $116.600
