Position Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to be responsible for the smooth operation and upkeep of mechanical electrical and structural systems in our warehouse facility. This role involves:
- Repairing and maintaining fleet trucks and yard equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnosis equipment issues and make repairs.
- Obtain quotes on parts and supplies required for repairs and maintenance.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed and properly documented.
The ideal candidate will be a hard worker with a good attitude and not afraid to get a little dirty. We are looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced collaborative warehouse environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Basic maintenance on fleet trucks (oil changes/ minor repairs)
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse building systems including HVAC lighting plumbing electrical and other mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections of the facility and equipment to identify and resolve issues such as leaks electrical malfunctions and mechanical failures.
- Ensure that all safety equipment and systems are functioning correctly including fire alarms extinguishers emergency exits and security systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime or damage to the warehouse.
- Assist with facility improvements including the installation of new equipment or infrastructure projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and service schedules.
- Follow all safety protocols and work in compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a maintenance role.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 150 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic math skills and good attention to detail.
- Positive attitude reliability and willingness to learn.
