Job Description

Sr Medical Advisor Cardiology

This role will be pivotal in driving medical excellence within the Cardiology Therapeutic Area. This position emphasizes scientific and medical leadership focusing on development of medical and cross-functional strategies guiding MSL team in the execution of field medical tactics. By ensuring compliant execution medical plans strategy and activities within Polish Medical Affairs engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and supporting the strategic execution of medical programs. This role demands a high level of scientific expertise strategic thinking and collaboration to drive medical excellence and support the successful execution of medical strategies including launch and pre-launch preparation.


Key Accountabilities

Product(s) lifecycle management

Leading and developing the Local Medical strategy and medical activities for the product(s) in accordance with internal and external regulations

TA and/or product specific medical training and education

Management of internal and external relationships within area of responsibility

Ensuring consistency of medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials

MSLs team management

Key Responsibilities & Activities

Foster Amgen s reputation as a science-based innovative and patient-focused reliable partner

Participation in the development of strategies and tactics in close collaboration with the regional/global medical leads as well as partnering with the Brand lead in the development and execution of the local product(s) lifecycle management pla

Contribution to cross-functional stakeholder teams in shaping the healthcare ecosystem by enabling access to medicines through insights generation evidence generation scientific exchange and education

Development and leading execution of the medical strategy that informs the practice of medicine ensuring key needs are met in alignment with global product medical and relevant brand strategy

Acting as a therapeutic area expert and providing leadership in the scientific community through advisory boards scientific meetings interactions with medical society stakeholders and engagement with HCP associations.

Engagement in peer-to-peer scientific exchange with KOLs healthcare providers and Population Health Decision Makers (PHDMs) to advance the companys scientific platform implementation science-related projects aiming to improve patient outcomes.

Acting as a people manager for MSL team

Collecting analyzing and sharing early scientific insights by discussing development data with external experts and engaging with medical societies and patient advocacy groups.

Working with Clinical Operations to ensure preparation implementation and completion of ASTs (Amgen sponsored studies)

Reviewing local ISS proposals prior to approval and ensures appropriate local review prior to PRC submission if applicable

Support for reimbursement of Amgen products

Reviewing of promotional and scientific documents

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs investigators and other key stakeholders.

Ability to work in a cross-functional team(e.g. Commercial Clin Development EUteams HE Regulatory Safety etc.)

Qualifications:

Scientific education (PhD MD PharmD) or deep scientific expertise in relevant therapeutic areas

Minimum 8 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry

Fluency in English both oral and writtencommunications

Expertise in cardio/metabolic diseases is preferred
