Description of assignment
At Vanderlande we are scaling up our efforts to become a regenerative company by moving towards circular business models and circular solutions. We strive for longevity of our customer solutions by providing maintenance and service throughout the entire life cycle of our logistical solutions. Our service propositions can benefit significantly from circular (business) solutions like remanufacturing refurbishment repair or recycling parts that we retrieve from our service business (spareparts retrofits modifications and upgrades). But what are optimal strategies for each product or solution and how to make the right choice
Therefor we want to develop a methodology to incorporate circular strategies into our service propositions. All our products require proper maintenance and service on site. What are the best strategies to apply on a specific product This method will help our Service Product Managers in creating circular life cycle plans for new products and solutions giving guidance to product development teams via tangible requirements.
Department description
In Vanderlande we have a dedicated team that drives the sustainability transformation in our company. You will be part of this Corporate Sustainability Team and work closely together with stakeholders from other departments like Service Product Managers Service Sales Engineers product development teams and supply chain. You will get the opportunity to gain experience with all departments that are involved in the solution development process. You will be challenged to address your project in a structured and self-employed way and bring your knowledge into practice.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Develop a methodology to integrate circular strategies in service propositions like our spare part business and RMR business.
- Proof your assessment methodology via a pilot project.
Your profile
- You have affinity with industrial engineering business modelling and supply chain.
- You are a self-starter and have a pro-active attitude
- *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
