Join Airgas as a Field Service Technician and be a crucial part of our team responsible for installing and servicing bulk industrial and medical gas delivery this role youll ensure the safe operation of equipment repairs and maintenance of cryogenic pumps and systems adhering to regulatory standards such as OSHA FDA ISO and Airgas protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installing and servicing cryogenic bulk installations at both Airgas facilities and customer sites.

• Responding to emergencies round the clock ensuring continuous support for critical operations.

• Repairing pressure reduction equipment linked to bulk delivery systems.

• Conducting repairs and analyses of electrical systems associated with cryogenic installations.

• Calculating vaporizer sizes for specific applications and ensuring proper equipment identification.

• Carrying out installation of piping systems in accordance with industry standards and company SOPs.

• Performing site surveys and obtaining necessary permits before work commencement.

• Ensuring the security of installations through appropriate measures.

Required Education:

• College or technical degree preferred.

Required Length and Type of Experience:

• Desired minimum of two to five years of diagnostic and/or repair experience in some or all of the following is required: cryogenics high pressure piping brazing programmable controls pumping systems mechanical aptitude and/or process instrumentation preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Experience in the HVAC or plumbing industry with hands on welding/brazing skills.

• Able to understand piping and tank detail from manuals and mechanical drawings and/or P&IDs.

• Ability to understand and apply applicable standards for good manufacturing practices (GMP) set forth by the CGA NFPA NEC and other professional/regulatory bodies.

• Must have a valid drivers license and clean DMV report may require DOT physical based on assigned vehicle.

• Must have strong math skills; ability to calculate figures and convert units of measure.

• Takes initiative to problem solve and troubleshoot with results.

• Ability to work safely under pressure to meet deadlines; detailed-oriented with good organizational skills.

• Must be able to work overtime to meet operational deadlines.

• Pre-employment and random drug testing and background screen applies.
