Job Summary
The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands phosphate mining fertilizer manufacturing farming ranching and cattle production and other enterprises related to agriculture.
Summary
This roles primary responsibility is to operate trucks and deliver various products in & around the Simplot Plant.
*Important Note* We currently have 4 vacancies available2 for the Day Shift & 2 for the Night Shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Haul load and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies such as fuel and best hauling and loading practices
- Inspects truck for defects before during and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
- Must be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areas
- Maintains electronic driver log according to DOTregulations
- Regularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires lights brakes fuel oil and water
Typical Education
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
- CDL Truck Driver school
Relevant Experience
- 1 years of related experience and/or training
Required Certifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements and a valid DOT Medical Certification
