Job Description
Job Title: Laser Operator
Location: Louisville KY
Shift Hours: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM MondayFriday
Pay Range: $25 $29 per hour
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Laser Operator to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating automated fiber optic laser machines (Mazak preferred) and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong attention to detail blueprint reading skills and the ability to maintain production standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate automated fiber optic laser machines (Mazak preferred)
Program machine movement and cycle speed
Perform laser alignment and nozzle checks during setup
Load raw materials and unload processed parts and skeletons
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections of sheet metal parts
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Work with aluminum steel and stainless materials
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Follow production schedules and meet quality standards
Qualifications/Requirements
3 years of experience operating and setting up fiber optic laser machines with automation (Mazak preferred)
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
Skilled in basic inspection of sheet metal parts
Proficient in using calipers tape measures and hand tools
Able to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
