JOB TITLE/LOCATION:

Quality Engineer (Systems) Santa Ana CA

DESCRIPTION:

The Quality Systems Engineer role is ensuring our products meet aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing implementing and maintaining quality systems that support continuous improvement compliance and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Primary responsibilities includes but not limited to:

Quality Systems AS 9100: Internal Audits Customer Audit Corrective Actions Continuous Improvement performance reports and metrics supplier management and FOD program.

AS13100 - MSA (gage R&R) PFMEA PPAP.

Other supporting responsibilities to include: Product Verification: Contract Review Manufacturing router revie special processes review inspection (FAIR) and shipment release (Source DSQR/DQR).

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

HS Diploma/GED AND 5 years of experience in Aerospace industry (mechanical).

Or

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or any other related field and minimum 3 years in Aerospace industry (mechanical).

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • MSFT Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Dimensional Inspection and GD&T
  • GAGE R&R SPC PFMEA PPAP
  • Experience with AS9100 systems.
  • Experience with internal audits customer audits and NADCAP audits.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. Also the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen lawful permanent resident green card holders or have refugee or asylee status).

**Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location experience education skills qualifications performance and business or organizational needs.

Pay Range: $80000 to $95000/annual.
