Head Chef Nursing Home CateringHours No Evenings

Our client is looking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a beautiful care home setting surrounded by stunning gardens. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef to design and deliver menus that balance nutrition flavour and presentation supporting the health and wellbeing of older adults.

With no evening shifts and a supportive working environment this role offers the chance to combine professional creativity with a better work-life balance.

What Were Looking For:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready for the next step.
Ideally experience working in a nursing home care home or similar healthcare environment.
Excellent knowledge of nutrition special diets allergies and hydration.
Strong leadership organisation and kitchen management skills.
Ability to create appealing nutritious and high-quality meals for older adults.
Food hygiene and safety certifications (or willingness to update as required).

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals in a care home setting.
Plan and prepare seasonal menus that cater for a variety of dietary needs including allergies modified textures and hydration requirements.
Ensure meals meet both nutritional standards and a fine dining presentation.
Oversee food safety hygiene and kitchen compliance.
Manage stock ordering and kitchen budgets effectively.
Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff fostering a positive team environment.
Work collaboratively with care staff to support residents health and wellbeing through tailored diets.
