About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer Ecologist to work as part of the Biodiversity and Ecological Health Branch and contribute towards the feral predator-free area program which is one of the most significant threatened fauna restoration projects in NSW history that will deliver measurable conservation benefit for at least 50 threatened animal species.
This role will undertake project management monitoring evaluation and reporting to support activities that contribute to the reintroduction of locally extinct species at the Yiraaldiya feral predator-free area.
About You
Your expertise in biodiversity and ecological health monitoring and/or translocations will be key to your success in this role. Youll be adept in providing high level specialist advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues to support project development and delivery in line with established plans budgets timeframes policy and environmental objectives and other project and priorities. You will have the ability to foster a positive work environment and contribute as part of a broader team.
