Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation and the guidance and direction of the Lead Vehicle and Equipment Mechanic a Vehicle and Equipment Service Worker lubricates and services buses automobiles and other motorized equipment; performing light vehicle repair duties; drives district vehicles as required to test move or pick up or deliver parts.
Requirements / Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year of job related experience is required.
- Within six months of employment must obtain a valid California Commercial Class A or B drivers license with P endorsement. (The District will provide training to assist in obtaining a Commericial Drivers License)
Length of Work Year / Work Schedule / Hours
12 months / 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. / 40 hours per week

The competitive basis for this recruitment is established as open/promotional-dual certification: candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and pass the exams are placed on an eligibility list. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months.
Veterans may be eligible for preference points on examinations. Please attach a copy of your DD214 to your application.
Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check fingerprinting physical exam including tuberculosis drug and alcohol screening and an Oath of Allegiance.
