Job Description
Junior DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a junior DevOps Engineer to join the Dragonfly team of Bank Mendes Gans (BMG).

Design develop test and deliver high-quality software solutions

The Dragonfly team
At BMG delivery we work Agile in DevOps squads whom are fully responsible for their application from A to Z this means that feedback and fast learning is a critical part of your day to day job. We believe that feedback is essential for growth and put high value on effective feedback skills. We have an open culture to facilitate this and short lines to ensure support for valuable feedback. This requires that you work intensely together with your colleagues inside and outside your squad.
Team Dragonfly is responsible for several BMG applications amongst others BMG Tools.
The applications are based upon Spring Boot built and deployed from an Azure DevOps pipeline into a private ING OpenShift cloud. The team uses Azure DevOps for their daily work (issue tracking & CICD).
The team currently consists of 5 experienced dev/ops engineers how can guide the junior dev/ops engineer.

- Proactive and hands-on attitude with effective communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership: Takes pride in work and consistently delivers high-quality results taking responsibility for the entire process from design to maintenance.
- Junior in Java 17 with hands-on experience
- Experience with Spring Boot 3
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Good understanding of relational databases.
- Fluent in English.
- Alignment with our Orange Code in terms of behavior.
- Experience with SCRUM and embracing it
- OpenShift/Kubernetes knowledge is a plus
- Azure DevOps knowledge is a plus
- Microsoft SQL Server experience is a plus
- Grafana (dashboard maintenance) is a plus
