The opportunity

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Digital Risk team which is part of our Risk Consulting service line. As a Senior you will be contributing to the engagement team in helping our clients to make better decisions and work on their most important challenges relating to security risks and controls including the IT Risk Management and IT Governance.


The successful candidate can expect to work with cross functional teams internally and client personnel to analyze evaluate and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process and will assist clients and other risk assurance professionals in performing information technology control and security engagements including but not limited to implementation of ERP and GRC solutions IT risk assessments and controls review / testing and focus upon cloud adoption risk and emerging technology risk.


Your key responsibilities

You will operate as a key team member to assist clients in employing proper information systems resources and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk. Specifically you will be required to:

  • Supporting the delivery of ERP project implementations across a broad range of technologies (including SAP Oracle etc.) and a focus on cloud adoption risk and emerging technology risk.
  • Identify key risks and controls and ensure controls optimization as well as enabling configuration of controls around security business process and within the ERP solution.
  • Overseeing full cycle project risk management tasks relating to project delivery.
  • Working effectively as a team member sharing responsibility providing support maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
  • Sharing technical knowledge with team members as well as coaching and mentoring to junior team members.


Skills and attributes for success:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ERP Security and IT governance risk assessment cloud adoption risk emerging technology risk and implementation.
  • Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Business Administration Commerce Computer Science Management Information Systems or another relevant program.
  • Possess relevant accounting / audit designation(s) or working towards one (e.g. CPA CIA and/or CISA).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of COBIT ITIL or other IT frameworks would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of specific platforms such as SAP Oracle Windows etc. would be an asset.
  • Proficiency using SharePoint and MS Office Suite including Excel Word OneNote and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of risk and control concepts IT frameworks and GRC solutions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
