Job Description Adjunct faculty in our department will teach a variety of major and/or non-major courses depending on departmental needs. Examples include Environmental Biology (BIOL 103) Biology for Health Science (BIOL 106/BIOL 106L) Integrative Biology I & II (BIOL 111/BIOL 112) Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II (BIOL 310/BIOL 311) Microbiology (BIOL 334) or a related course in the applicants discipline. Successful applicants will teach both the lecture and lab component for their courses all of which will be offered in-person. Instructional responsibilities include (but not limited to) preparing and delivering course content assessing student learning holding office hours and contributing to a rigorous learning environment that focuses on student academic success. |
Required Qualifications All faculty must have at least a Masters degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching with 18 hours of course work related to the course(s) being some cases subject to the approval by the Provost a faculty member could be recommended for appointment based on substitution of significant experience for the degree. |
