About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing the Nurse Manager will lead and manage the services within their area of responsibility to provide an efficient effective and safe service within the available resources; ensuring contemporary Models of Care are implemented and evaluated in response to the changing needs of the community and health system as well as carrying out other delegated projects or tasks .

This role will work in partnership with service management medical allied health and other staff and contribute to strategic and operational management in a way that is consistent with Health NZ priorities.

About you

You will be an experienced Senior Registered Nurse with proven Nurse leadership experience.

Our ideal candidate will have:

A relevant post-graduate qualification at masters level (or working towards completion) or equivalency
Previous operational management and leadership experience
Excellent communicator with strong leadership skills and a high level of interpersonal skills
Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.
Knowledge of the health and disability sector
Proven experience in budgeting and staffing management
Ability to work together in a helpful and truthful manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
