General Job Description Overview:

Juice Bar Cashier provides extraordinary customer service in the Juice Bar department through friendly speedy and accurate recording and gathering of customers food and beverage orders. Will stock and clean the department to meet the goals of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Financial Management:

  • Accurately prepare package weigh and price selected products to fulfill customer requests promptly and efficiently.

  • Efficiently operate the cash register scale and other equipment ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and swiftly to maintain a smooth flow of service.

  • Adhere to proper cash and payment handling procedures as outlined in company policy ensuring the security and accuracy of all financial transactions.

  • Thoroughly balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift ensuring all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly reported to management.

  • Ensure compliance with state laws and regulations concerning weights and measures.

Customer Service & Experience:

  • Greet all customers and team members while adhering to Vallartas Nuestra CASA pledge to deliver extraordinary customer service every time.

  • Responsible for ensuring extraordinary customer service by modeling Vallartas core values: customer service commitment integrity respect humility and teamwork.

  • Promote sales by suggestive selling techniques while providing extraordinary customer service ensuring every customer feels valued and satisfied.

  • Assist customers by offering expert advice on custom-made recipes and items providing suggestions that enhance their experience and meet their specific needs.

Merchandising & Product Presentation:

  • Prepare all Juice Bar food and beverages ensuring consistency in quality appearance and portion sizes as per Vallarta Supermarkets standards.

  • Maintain food in refrigeration cases fresh and presentable rotate and replenish as needed and at proper food storage temperatures according to Health Department regulations.

  • Maintain a clean fully stocked and visually appealing Juice Bar area creating a welcoming and attractive environment for customers.

  • Notify department management when ingredients or supplies are low including inventory levels of prepared food items to ensure timely restocking.

  • Monitor case temperatures and communicate any discrepancies to the Taqueria Manager to maintain food safety standards.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Assist in all areas of the Juice Bar department as needed ensuring smooth and efficient operations during peak times.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Adhere to strict health code regulations to ensure the highest standards of food safety personal hygiene and sanitation are upheld at all times.

  • Prioritize safety by being aware of co-worker and customer safety at all times. Use tools and equipment safely adhering to Company policies and report any equipment issues immediately to a manager.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Juice Bar areas ensuring that floors counters and equipment are clean dry and safe for both team members and customers.

  • Follow company dress code standards ensuring that aprons and/or smocks are kept clean and changed as needed to maintain a professional appearance.

  • Abide by all store rules and company policies as outlined in Vallartas Employee Handbook ensuring that these policies are consistently enforced across the team.

Other Duties:

  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management ensuring full follow-through on all tasks to support the departments success.

  • Assist in supporting all current and future programs implemented by Vallarta Supermarkets

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Friendly courteous and customer-oriented personality with a passion for working with the public.

  • Knowledge of product preparation product presentation and quality control.

  • Basic English language

Required Education and Experience

  • Prior experience in restaurant or food retail a plus but not required

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand walk and lift for extended periods.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment including exposure to perishable products.

  • Willingness to transfer to other locations as needed.

Expected Hours of Work

  • Flexibility to work afternoons evenings weekends and holidays.
