Reception Teacher Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Foster a nurturing inclusive and safe classroom environment where every child can thrive.
Support childrens social emotional and academic development promoting independence and confidence.
Observe assess and track pupil progress using this to inform planning and next steps.
Work closely with support staff colleagues and parents to provide a holistic approach to learning.
Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding childrens development and progress.
Participate in staff meetings professional development and wider school initiatives.
Reception Teacher Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in Early Years/Reception within a primary school.
Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Ability to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences for all pupils.
Collaborative reflective and committed to continuous professional development.
